Overnight Gong Puja
The Gong Puja is sacred sound ceremony and celebration; in Buddhism, Pujas are expressions of “honor and devotional attention.” A Gong Puja is honoring & allowing space for our being’s ability to heal – physically, emotionally & spiritually.
Swiss mathematician and musicologist Hans Cousto, who calculated the planetary frequencies used in the planetary gongs today, stated that it took 45 minutes to complete a full sound journey. Yogi Bhajan believed that the gong was the most powerful tool for healing, and a 45-minute gong session would clear any immediate blocks.
Yogi Bhajan stated that 10 consecutive gong sessions would clear most blocks so that the soul could then heal itself, relieving the body of human suffering. In the year 2000, Grand Gong Master Don Conreaux developed and held his first official Overnight Gong Puja to deliver these 10 consecutive gong baths in one grand night of healing as participants slept, allowing the mind to float in a state of cosmic consciousness while the body rested on this plane in the most optimum state for healing.
Deep relaxation from the gong bath can help you to cleanse, release tension and blocks. Everyone experiences Gong Puja differently; trust your experience will be perfect for you.
María has trained with Gong Master Don Conreaux and is currently attending Kundalini yoga teacher training as taught by Yogi Bhajan. If you would like to attend María’s Sound offerings, see list of event below.

SOUND + CACAO + DESPACHO = MAGIC
Immersed in the sound of the gongs and in the subtle ethers of the sound bath, we repair and rejuvenate as the cosmic ocean of vibrations wash over us; cleansing, unblocking and freeing us. The functional harmony created by the gong tones bring about an inner stillness where deep healing could occur.
Sound healing is an invitation to connect your body, heart, and spirit as one universal life force. This workshop is coupled with Sacred Sound and many techniques of meditation including: pranayama (control of the breath), mantra (chanting), movement, and Yoga Nidra (guided meditation), from various Yogic traditions.
Cacao is added into the experience to help us explore deeper into the true desires of the heart. Its scientific name Theobroma cacao actually means “food for the Gods” and it was believed to have been sent from the heavens as a gift to mankind.
Cacao has been used for almost 3000 years, originating all the way back to Mayan and Aztec traditions in Central and South America, used for spiritual, medicinal and ceremonial purposes for inner awakening and creative guidance. Pure cacao is used as a heart opening medicine for people to safely experience awakening, revelation and inner healing. Cacao is used in a sacred medicinal ritual, where intentions are set and once consumed, negative emotions are released and we are able to connect to ourselves and the loving energy in our body.
María brings Cacao from her hometown Huánuco, Perú; and charges this beverage with Reiki to deepen our sacred experience.
We end our time together with a despacho ceremony, a Peruvian tradition brought down from high in the Andean mountains. A despacho is a ceremonial offering of our intentions and prayers to Pachamama (Mother Earth), and the Apus (Mountain Spirits). In the spirit of Ayni (meaning reciprocity), it’s about being in harmony with nature, and giving an offering in order to receive; a powerful and lovely way to “dispatch” our prayers to the powers that be.

The spirit of Cacao opens and connects the heart space. It is in this space that we meet for a gentle journey guided by the sound of gongs and crystal bowls. Sharing intention, we collectively drink the cacao prepared from exquisite beans grown in Peru and traditionally processed by hand. This high quality cacao assists in the journey as we lie back into a relaxed and comfortable position. Cacao and sound weave together as a guide on this meditative journey inward.
